Job Overview
We are currently working alongside a Civil Engineering contractor who are now recruiting for a Civil Site Engineer
in Kilkenny to work on a variety of projects such as Roads, Bridges, restoration, and Public Realms.
As a site engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities on a construction site.
Responsibilities:
Planning and organising work: Plan and organise the construction activities in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and budget.
Quality control: Ensure that the work is completed to the required quality standards and that any defects are corrected in a timely manner.
Safety: Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Communication: Communicate with the project manager, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is progressing as planned.
Cost control: Monitor costs and ensure that the project is completed within budget.
Problem-solving: Be able to solve problems that arise during the construction process, such as unexpected site conditions or changes to the project scope.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Technical expertise: Have a strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
At least 3 year's experience in construction or Engineering experience.
Proficient in using computer software for project management, such as AutoCAD or Primavera.
Communicate effectively with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders.
