We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Senior Project Manager in our Civil Design Group
at our Kansas City, MO Office. Experience in the following areas is desirable: municipal transportation, infrastructure design, and land development. You should also be able to perform design tasks or delegate tasks to project engineers and technicians, make project design decisions, prepare correspondence, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited college or university
Registered Professional Engineer with 8 plus years of experience as a Project Engineer/Manager
Experience working with and/or for a municipality is required, DOT experience a plus
Prepare engineering agreements and project cost estimates.
Assist in the analysis of reports (i.e. geotechnical, drainage, traffic), maps, drawings, tests, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects
Ability to develop civil construction plans, with a strong understanding of grading and paving design for municipal and land development projects
Ability to develop stormwater and sanitary drainage studies
Perform design work in AutoCad Civil 3D and Hydraflow; experience with HEC-RAS, SWMM, and other appropriate drainage software is a plus
Ability to coach, and direct others with different personalities and professional styles
Experience handling and delegating multiple tasks and projects
Proven track record of successfully managing projects, from both a strategic and functional/project level
Commitment to employee training and development
Ability to work independently, as well as be part of a team
Possess strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan and deliver effective oral and written presentations
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities
