AutoCAD Land Development

Profile

PWGC is seeking to fill a position for a Land Development AutoCAD designer for land development projects with both its engineering and compliance teams. Our projects are a variety of civil engineering areas, from site designs to Federal projects, and all levels in between
n AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required. Land development grading experience and knowledge of state and local building and zoning codes are a plus. This can be a part-time or full-time position
n Responsibilities:
n n Provide drafting and graphics support and assist engineers and design staff with civil design focused primarily on land development projects.
n Assignments may include performing civil design, such as grading, drainage and stormwater system layout, utility layouts, sanitary sewer collection system layout, parking lot layout and general site plan development.
n
n Qualifications:
n n Associate degree or higher in civil engineering or a related field.
n Have a highly proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
n Minimum three to five (3-5) years
of survey and/or CAD experience in the land development/land survey industry is preferred
n Proficiency in ESRI GIS software (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro) and Microsoft Excel is a plus, but not required
n Ability to read, analyze, and interpret civil plans and specifications
n Research data downloads for Flood & Wetland data, aerial imagery, and elevation data.
n Ability to work closely with more senior staff members to learn and assist in design work.
n Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
n Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
n Ability to work independently and able to effectively manage time and work on multiple projects
