A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Manage the Structural Engineering department in Indianapolis
Communicate with our internal and external teammates and clients
Prepare preliminary designs for design/build proposals
Review building codes to assure correct implementation of preparation and design
Attend client meetings and coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil, and mechanical engineers
Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents for permit submittal and construction
Review and coordinate construction document content with all disciplines to assure complete and accurate agreement
Review shop drawings to confirm compliance with the design drawings and project intent
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with experience related to the construction industry
5-15 years of experience related to the construction industry
Ability to prepare structural designs for deep and shallow foundations, steel, concrete, masonry. Light gauge design experience is preferred.
Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, and RAM
Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
Professional Engineer licensure required (PE)
