Our entity in Nassau County, Long Island, New York, is looking for a Project Engineer.
Nassau County project is a 20 year O&M Agreement, the largest public-private partnership for wastewater services in the United States and a successful flagship contract. $65M revenue, 200 employees, 3 wastewater treatment facilities & collection system serving 1.2M people.   
Job Description (i) Engineering designs 
Preparation of engineering studies, evaluations and technical memos, including the wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, collection system, and safety related projects 
Develop project concepts, alternatives, scopes, schedules and budgets
Develop scope of works and track planning, quality and costs of projects
(ii) Technical assistance to operating personnel 
Provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance teams, including troubleshooting, identifying alternatives and solutions for improvements
Coordinate scheduling and managing interface of construction with operations
Coordinate projects with external contractors including vendors, engineering consultants and contractors
Provide inspections and coordinate and oversee construction and performance tests
 (iii) Ad-hoc analysis & projects
Work closely with management on various topics (operations, workflow process, ...)
Prepare ad-hoc analysis & presentations according to the needs of the time
Qualifications Educational background: Civil engineering diploma or equivalent Master Degree with 2 years of professional experience
Previous experience: Experience with engineering design and project delivery and control, professional experience in a water/wastewater engineering firm or equivalent in the private or public sector would be a plus
Skills: High-end PowerPoint and Excel skills – Others tools are a plus (e.g. AutoCAD, MS project, Power BI, …) 
Languages: Fluent in English
Other: Driving license (mandatory)
