We are working alongside an established civil engineering contractor who are now looking to recruit an Engineer
to join their team for a project based in Cork.
As an Engineer specialised in Water Infrastructure, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, and implementation of water supply and distribution systems, waste-water treatment plants, storm water management systems, and other water-related infrastructure projects.
You will work with a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure that these projects are implemented efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the development of project proposals, cost estimates, and time-lines for water infrastructure projects.
Conducting site investigations and surveys to determine the feasibility of new water infrastructure projects.
Assisting with the design and modelling of water supply and distribution systems, waste-water treatment plants, and storm-water management systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Assisting with the monitoring of the construction and operation of water infrastructure projects to ensure that they meet design specifications and safety standards.
Supporting the evaluation of the performance of water infrastructure systems and recommending improvements or upgrades as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
At least 1-3 year's experience in the construction of water infrastructure projects.
Understanding of environmental regulations and safety standards related to water infrastructure design and construction.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
